A aprendizagem musical e a formação em música: refletindo sobre as contribuições da motivação

Resumo

Este estudo tem por temática a motivação e a aprendizagem musical e é parte de uma pesquisa de mestrado em andamento pelo PPGMUS/UFRN. Muitos autores têm discutido sobre a motivação (DECI; RYAN, 2000) assim como muitas pesquisas têm sido desenvolvidas no Brasil sobre aprendizagem musical e motivação (FIGUEIREDO, 2014; RIBEIRO, 2013; CERNEV, 2013; CERESER; HENTSCHKE, 2013). Na área da educação musical, a motivação se torna de grande importância para o ensino e a aprendizagem. Considerando essas discussões, fizemos uma breve citação sobre o grupo de pesquisa FAPROM (Formação e Atuação dos Profissionais em Música) que tem por maior objetivo pesquisar a motivação na educação musical brasileira. Nesta pesquisa, realizamos uma breve apresentação da Teoria da Autodeterminação e das Necessidades Psicológicas Básicas (RYAN; DECI, 2004; DECI; RYAN, 2008a), além do Estilo Motivacional do professor, citando alguns trabalhos desenvolvidos pelo FAPROM, a fim de exemplificar os diversos contextos de atuação e pesquisa com a temática. Este estudo buscou contribuir no sentido de melhor compreender e explorar o campo da motivação na aprendizagem musical em diferentes contextos.

A Musical Learning and Training in Music: Reflecting on the Contributions of Motivation

This study is subject to motivation and learning music and is part of a research in progress by PPGMUS / UFRN. Several authors have discussed about the motivation (DECI; RYAN, 2000) as well as many studies have been developed in Brazil on musical learning and motivation (FIGUEIREDO, 2014; RIBEIRO, 2013; CERNEV, 2013; CERESER; HENTSCHKE, 2013). In the field of music education, motivation becomes of great importance for teaching and learning. Considering these discussions, we made a brief quote about the group FAPROM (Training and Performance of Music Professionals) research that its key objective research motivation in Brazilian music education. In this research, we conducted a brief presentation of the Self-Determination Theory and Basic Psychological Needs (RYAN; DECI, 2004; DECI; RYAN, 2008a), and the Motivational Style teacher, citing some works developed by FAPROM in order to illustrate the various contexts of activity and research on the topic. This study sought to contribute to better understand and explore the field of motivation in learning music in different contexts.
