A música na Educação Profissional – O currículo integrado do ensino médio ao ensino técnico

Este texto faz parte da pesquisa de doutorado intitulada "A música na Educação Profissional: o currículo de Artes/Música no Ensino Médio Integrado dos Institutos Federais". A pesquisa encontra-se em fase inicial e neste recorte é apresentada uma revisão de literatura a respeito do histórico da educação profissional e do ensino médio integrado. A aprovação da Lei 11.769/2008, que versa sobre a obrigatoriedade de conteúdos musicais no currículo da Educação Básica, traz uma relevante oportunidade de discutir as relações entre música e educação no Brasil. Ao mesmo tempo, a partir de 2008 houve uma expansão da Rede Federal de Educação Profissional e Tecnológica com a criação dos Institutos Federais. A educação profissional, através da efetivação e expansão da Rede Federal de Educação Profissional e Tecnológica, tornou-se o centro das políticas públicas do país. Baseando-se nas discussões a respeito do currículo e das disciplinas escolares, pode-se afirmar que, historicamente, a inserção da música na escola está diretamente ligada às questões políticas, sociais e culturais que permeiam desde os processos de seleção, organização e prática dos saberes escolares até as disputas no que diz respeito à identidade cultural. Diante disso, a proposição desta pesquisa, justifica-se pelo fato de estar investigando um contexto novo e ainda pouco explorado, que é a educação profissional. Além disso, este estudo contribui com estudos na área de educação, no que tange a organização do ensino no âmbito da educação profissional e na área de educação musical, por estar investigando a inserção da música em um contexto diferenciando, voltando seu olhar para a articulação entre o ensino de música em sala de aula, dentro da disciplina de artes/música no currículo integrado.

Musici in Professional Education – The Integrated Curriculum from High School to Technical Teaching

This writing is part of a Doctoral Degree research entitled "Music in professional education: the Arts/Music curriculum in the Integrated High School of Federal Institutes". The research is at an early stage and this text presents a literature review about the history of education and the integrated high school. The Law 11,769/2008 approval, which talks about the obligation of musical content in the basic education curriculum, shows an important opportunity to discuss the relationship between music and education in Brazil. At the same time, from 2008 there was an expansion of the Federal Professional and Technological Education, when were founded the Federal Institutes. The professional education, through execution and expansion of the Federal Professional and Technological Education, became the public policies main focus in the country. Based on the discussions about the curriculum and school subjects, it can be said that, historically, the inclusion of music in school is directly linked to the political, social and cultural issues that permeate since the selection processes, organization and practice of school knowledge up to the disputes related to cultural identity. Therefore, the proposition of this research is justified because it has been investigating a new context and still little explored, which is the professional education. Furthermore, this study contributes to researches in education, regarding the organization of teaching in professional education and music education area, for investigating the music insertion into a differentiated context, focusing the joint to music teaching in the classroom, in the arts/music subject in the integrated curriculum.
